Second Half of 2014 begins... so hello again!

Hi all,
Well, we've made it past the first half of a year. What a year it has been so far. The second half finds me in a new job, first new job since 2010... not sure it will last 4 or more years but we will see. So far the job is interesting and the pay is ok, just not sure with all the downsizing that the position will last more than 6 months. But we will see.


I do have one wish... that the second half of 2014 is more calm and organized than the first half was.  And so, more to come for the blog, vlog and internet radio... time and energy permitting.

one more month to go... what a year!

hi all
well, another year is just about finished up and like most Decembers, this one should fly by with all the holidays, work, and everything else. my goal for this month is to enjoy it as much as possible. will try to do that by not working any overtime and getting a few hikes in why the weather is great. 70's 50's temps and little rain look like the story of the first 10 days of this month is this weather forecast holds and I will not complain.

I signed up with EHarmony for 3 months, this month is the last month to test the dating waters. I was a little apprehensive about it at first but it seems ok and it even matched me up with someone.  I don't plan to renew it after the 3 months, my feeling is if it works it works, if it doesn't you should know fairly quickly. no Haiku for you today but attached are a few photos from the last few months in the North Florida area.

wanted to say a quick hi and I hope this late summer post finds everyone well and surviving the summer heat aok. I've been busy getting ready for September. this year, like last I hope to post a vlog a day for each day in September. still deciding on launching the blog talk radio show, that might be October or November this year.

happy Summer.

 Spring time this year had record high temps so feels like summer is never ending this year. next month is traditionally the last month of hot temps in this area, we will see! I've started writing again and getting ready for October's haiku festival in Atlanta, hope to have many haiku to share by then. hope to start updating and posting here soon and Vlogs in September over at my YouTube channel. no changes to report, my health has been good and I continue to take long walks and hikes on weekends.

April Walk About

hi all,
well already April! what a fast year so far. so far its a fun year and my day trip a month plan has continued with April's trip being to Tate's Hell State Forest in and around Carrabelle Florida. after a 8 mile hike we stopped off at Angelo's seafood in Panacea Florida to have a nice dinner. the food was good, a little pricey but my idea of food is it should be more expensive to better represent the true cost of inflation.i hope your year is going well and i hope you enjoy the nice weather days when you can.

March Walkabout

hi all,
this month has two day trips planed to continue my "1 day trip a month" new years resolution, next week for for my fist day of spring trip down south.

Yesterday i visited two gulf coast (forgotten coast of Florida) parks and reserves for a 12 mile walkabout... also had great BBQ at a Crawfordville place Hamaknockers. great weather with great conversation with some great friends and a great day overall. happy day trips to you!

January 2013 Trip, Tallahassee Museum

each month i plan to travel to a new destination i have not visited yet, and for January it was The Tallahassee Museum. A neat place to visit if you are in the capital city area. i hope your first month of the 2013 year was great!

new year!? wow, the last one went fast

hi all,
happy new year a few days late. I also celebrate lunar new year witch is February 10th this year so i will be saying happy new year again in a few weeks.

so this years resolutions are like more new years resolutions now a days, eat better, exercise, take a small trip and keep working on on going projects like this blog, the YouTube channel, and other on line journals and micro blog internet sites.

the big project will be the documentary i have started recently that should take around a year with editing, 3 to 4 months to film.
